
Scientist Immunology/Pharmacology
Dualyx NV (www.dualyx.com), is a Ghent-based biotech company dedicated to the development of novel Treg based therapies to address the needs of patients with difficult-to-treat autoimmune diseases. The company is currently fast-growing and has a pipeline with highly promising immune modulating programs including DT-001, an antibody agonist program targeting the TNF receptor 2 (TNFR2) which is currently in IND-enabling studies. TNFR2 is widely regarded as a master control switch for immunosuppression, making it highly attractive for Treg therapies. Dualyx also has a pipeline of additional Treg programs in early development. Dualyx is backed by a group of well-respected investors including: Fountain Healthcare Partners, Forbion, Andera Partners, V-Bio Ventures, BGV, PMV, VIB, HTGF and GFF.
At the moment, we are looking for a Scientist Pharmacology to strengthen our dynamic research team in Ghent (full-time employment; 80-100% on-site).
Accountabilities
Develop, troubleshoot and qualify complex assays according to industry standards and guidelines, and perform sample analysis using in-house developed assays:
Assays for activation, suppression, migration using (primary) immune cell subsets from different species
Cell-based and biochemical binding experiments

Ligand-binding assays for biomarker evaluation (ELISA, multiplexing)
Design well-controlled experiments, prioritize your workflow and independently interpret your data
Perform wet lab experiments, document experimental protocols and study results in detailed final reports, analyse and summarize data in a timely fashion, present status update to team members
Assist in the planning and monitoring of preclinical pharmacology and efficacy studies conducted internally or in collaboration with external CROs.
Qualifications
Bachelor, Master in Biomedical, Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical sciences
At least 2 years of industry experience with focus on immunology
Direct hands-on experience with flow cytometry, culturing primary cells and cell lines, protein labelling and advanced molecular biology techniques is required
Experience with the design, development and optimization of cellular and biochemical
Expertise in complex pharmacology assays (receptor occupancy, potency or biomarker assays) is an additional asset.
Quality conscious attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with effective time-management skills.
Proficiency in oral and written communication (English) and in MS Office is required, additional knowledge of analysis software (Spotfire, GraphPad) is an asset.
